Growing Older, But Not Up

Michael,the Elder,is another year older!

39 years ago,today,at 9:20PM,to be exact,he came into the world.3 weeks past his due date.

All 9lbs.6 1/2ozs. of him.

His first teething ring.........(Not really.He got into the garbage at his grandparents' house,and his grandmother thought it was a cute shot........)

"Now,I am 2." He was a little confused on how many fingers to hold up,I guess........

"Now,I am 39!

A grown-up(I just don't act it all the time)."

The Flu Bug Is Gone!

After drowning in chicken soup,jello,applesauce,Gatorade,7-Up,ginger ale,and soft boiled eggs,JonJ has returned to the land of the living!!!

and so,we shall return to regular blogging of our regular crap-o-la, tomorrow.

The flu has struck our household.............

Not both of us,mind you,

but the one (Jon) who didn't get a flu shot.

So,now our house smells like this....................... and someone (Jon) is eating this.......................

Did I mention he's either in bed,in the bathroom,or dying the most loveliest death ever?

Truly worthy of an Academy Award nomination,I must say.....

Not to mention the high fever,which kinda scares even me...........

Yep,we are now sleeping in separate bedrooms.
So,you can all run and tell your friends that we are

not

sleeping together.

Well.........I'd invited Dad for brats,salad and to watch the Bucs lose,

once again.

But it wasn't to be.

(yep,the Bucs lost,once again,

but that isn't what this is about)

Those days are becoming more and more frequent..............
The bad days are starting to out number the good days........

So,I took him some Chek-Mix(he loves his snacks),his rent check and some apple cake.

Was he interested in the cake? No.

Was he interested in the Bucs? No. (but,then,neither are we,these days.....just sayin')

"Where's my check?"

"It's sitting on top of the container with the cake."

"And what channel is the Bills game on,today?" (He loves his Bills!)

He knew Ralph Wilson back in the day.He remembers Pete Gogolak,Cookie Gilchrist,Darryl Lamonica,Jack Kemp-when he was just a football player.

"It's on CBS."

"I can find that.Where's the check?"

"Right here,Dad."

"I'm gonna go watch the Bucs lose,now.Good thing you brought the check.Now,where is it again?""
