The Good and The BAD!

Let's get the bad out of the way,right away,shall we?

Yep,my beloved USF Bulls pulled another boner and played like little girls and lost 31-10.

If they would've played like mean girls,they would've kicked the Miami Hurricanes' collective asses.but oh noooo.........we lost

They played liked pussies(sorry to offend,but they did.....).

Do we need a new coach?

......just askin'..............

Let's get on to the good,shall we?

The Gators kicked FSU's asses all over Gainesville!

It must be nice to be a Gator(Erich,the Younger is one....whatever...)................

I wouldn't know....

I'm a Bull............

onward to the UConn Huskies

and another ass whooping.............

but at least,I'll be on Sanibel Island watching that sad game,

and,just maybe,come home with a new coffee mug

(albeit a UConn one,but what the Hell....?).

Oh yeah,

the Gators have another game coming up on their way to another National Championship..............

and a side note,next year,the Bulls travel to The Swamp........

We shall be a house divided for that game........

Thanksgiving At Out House,or He Likes Her.He Really,Really Likes Her.....

Yep----Erich and Dad discussed politics.From global warming,taxation,health care and education(Erich's forte') to anything you else you can think of,including Dad's most recent opinion of Nancy Pelosi(you don't really want to hear about that!).Yes-beer was involved,but when you're almost 91 you're entitled to a few brewskis and an opinion or two........

Now,on to the important stuff.....

We met Maggie!!!

We think he likes her!

We think he really,really likes her!

At least,we do....

We think she's a keeper!

We Are Blessed

Yes,we are thankful for what we have,

but,mostly,

we are blessed.

I believe God whispers to us.We just have to hear the whispers.

What God wishes for us may not be what we want,

but,

I believe it is what is best for us.

We just have to be open to the opportunities God gives us.

And realize,

we are blessed.

So,this is what we have been blessed with this year.....

-Another year of my Dad's grumpiness.After almost 91 years,he is entitled to be grumpy.And we are blessed to have had him in our lives another year.

-After going through a period of 'butterscotch' the Vanilla People are looking forward to a return to Vanilla.Butterscotch makes you appreciate Vanilla.

-We are grateful that Michael,the Elder,brought Dawn,Kyle and Gina into our lives.What joy they have brought.And we thank the powers that be.

-Erich,the Younger,may have found the one(no caps,yet.Don't want to ruin the Karma....).It's about time!And we would be ever so grateful if he finally settled down.....

-We have a beautiful home,and a beautiful garden.So many,these days,have neither.We are so lucky and so blessed to have both.

-We have wonderful friends.Both,in real life,and blogland.We are grateful for all.

-We are grateful that in these times,one of us is employed at a secure job,with incredibly wonderful benefits.When so many are unemployed and with no benefits,we appreciate what we have.And are ever so grateful.

-When we look around us,and see so many with so little,we are ever so grateful for what we do have.Our everyday complaints somehow seem so self-centered and petty.

So,on this night before Thanksgiving,

We give thanks.........
